I was reflecting today on one of the major turning points in my life. It was the day when I realized - with much thanks to Abraham-Hicks - that even though I can’t control the situation, and I can’t control the conditions, I can always, always control how I feel.

In other words, I always have the choice - the choice to feel good, and the choice to feel bad.

And from my perspective at that time, when I didn’t really know that much about the law of attraction, and wanted more evidence, first, if you please … from that perspective, this realization was huge and it was simple.

Because what if I was wrong? What if all of this law of attraction stuff didn’t really work? What if I was going loop-the-loop, around the bend, looking for something easy in defiance of all that was?

It didn’t matter! Because for me, whether or not something “good” happened as a result of my choice, when I make the conscious decision in every moment of my life to choose the better feeling thought, I get results right away - I get the benefit of feeling better.

The thing is, reaching for the worse feeling thought never makes you feel better. Focusing on all the negatives doesn’t give you a solution, doesn’t change your circumstances, doesn’t have any effect except that you end up not feeling so good.

So, my logical mind thought, EVEN IF focusing on the positives didn’t give me a solution and didn’t change my circumstances, it does have the effect of making me feel better.

And once I came to that conclusion, feeling good became the easier, more logical, choice to make.

In every moment of every day, I always have the choice to feel better or to feel worse.

Once I started always reaching for that better feeling thought, it was like I was exercising an underused muscle - every day, it became easier and easier to choose to feel better over feeling worse.

This all happened a year ago for me. And I can say now, that not only does making the choice to feel good make you feel better - law of attraction really does work. There IS more to feeling good than just feeling good.

How I’m feeling today creates my reality tomorrow.
