In The Secret, John Assaraf talks about how he manifested a dream house that years previously he had put into a Vision Board.
I’ve always found the idea of Vision Boards intriguing, but the idea of doing single boards never really worked for me. I’ve always been very much a notebook and journal type of person, so it was natural for me to expand on the idea of Vision Boards, and begin creating what I call “Vision Books”.
If you enjoy scrapbooking, journaling or art journaling, you’ll probably have fun with this process. And having fun with a process is really one of the keys to manifesting your desires.
Creating a Vision Book can be as simple or as complex as you like.
You could approach your Vision Book as simply a place where you paste in all manner of things that you love, a sort of custom-made dream book that you can look through over and over again - and add to, because even as you begin manifesting the things that you want into your life, you will also continue finding new desires.
You might consider sectioning off your Vision Book into four or five sections, perhaps Relationships, Finances, Work and Career, Health and Home. Or maybe Mind, Body and Spirit.
If there is one particular area of your life that you’d like to focus on, you could create an entire Vision Book devoted to that area. For example, a Travel Vision Book. Or a New Home Vision Book.
I prefer working with spiral bound artist’s sketchbooks, the kinds that are made with heavier paper. The pages can withstand a lot of glueing and it just feels good to turn over the pages of a completed book. But any kind of journal, notebook or sketchbook that feels good to you will work.
The key is to use what appeals to you.
I also work with my Vision Books continuously. The goal isn’t to finish a book, it’s keep playing with them, adding new pictures, new thoughts, quotations, whatever strikes my fancy.
If you like the sound of creating a Vision Book, give it a try. For me, it’s even more fun than a Creation Box or Vision Board!

This is a GREAT idea!
I have a dream board but I haven’t updated it in a while and there is only so much I can do with it. I like the idea that a journal is “on going.”
I had never thought of making a book/journal of it. I am going to do just that! Tomorrow I am going to buy a pretty new journal to make my vision book
