“We say that if you can focus upon things that you don’t have a big negative vibration built up around, the Universe will deliver it to you quickly, which will give you confidence in your ability to focus, it will give you confidence in the Law of Attraction, it will give you confidence in your worthiness. So we always say start with easy things until you’ve proven to yourself the power of Law of Attraction, and proven to yourself your ability to focus.”
Abraham-Hicks, San Francisco, 2-24-07A
If you’re new to the Law of Attraction, this quote from a recent Abraham-Hicks workshop will help you get off to a powerful start.
Maybe you’re feeling kind of shaky about all of this. You’d love if all of this law of attraction stuff was true, but how much of it is just fanciful, wishful thinking?
The beauty of the law of attraction, as one very dear person told me when I first started, was that it is absolutely fine to “ask for proof”.
Try it out. Start with the small, easy things. The things to which you really don’t have much resistance.
So focus on pink elephants. Or maybe purple flowers. Or pennies and nickels.
Whatever it is you’re placing your focus on, see what happens in the next hour/day/week.
It’s okay. You can say to the Universe, “Show me!”

Letting go of the “how or why” and trusting was very hard for me. I am a very visual person. I need to see it, understand it, know why. I have gotten better over time and everyday it gets easier. I did ask for proof and I believe it was given to me. Over and over again in several different ways.
I think too commonly people only think of the bad things that re-occur. Like saying, “when it rains it pours,” which really is so true because we just keep attracting that negative over and over again, even though that is the very thing we do NOT want.
Once I *really* started to understand that it works both ways - positive attracts more positive - negative attracts more negative, it all started to really come together for me.
It’s simply amazing to really know and understand how powerful our own thoughts and intentions are/can be.

It really is such an amazing thing once you start testing LOA and you start seeing the results in your life.
One thing that I’ve become very aware of is how I use words in every day life. (Hey, good idea for a future post!). When you become aware of how often you use negative words and phrases in daily conversation and thought, you’ll be absolutely stunned.
And once you’re aware, you’ll find it harder to lapse back into using negative words and thoughts. It’s a nice cycle, that.
