Abraham-Hicks held their first workshop in Toronto on March 17, 2007, as part of the Hay House I Can Do it seminar. I only attended the Abraham-Hicks workshop, but I did order the full set of CDs, featuring all the other workshops as well. They haven’t arrived yet, but I wanted to put together a post of my notes from the workshop.
Actually, to call it a workshop might be a bit of a misnomer. Unlike the first workshop I attended in San Antonio last September, the Toronto workshop was held in a huge convention room at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. I’m not great at figuring out the number of people in a room, but I think there must have been about a 1000 people in attendence.
What was different about this crowd was that there were many people there who actually didn’t know anything about Abraham-Hicks. They were attending the entire seminar of events, and chose to attend this workshop.
The focus of the workshop was more on the basics of the Law of Attraction.
My notes are mostly paraphrases, rather than a direct transcription. This was my first time taking notes at a workshop, and I know I did miss some things, and I scribbled somewhat, so I also had to decipher my own handwriting! And of course, I did mainly take notes about the things that resonated with me.
I do hope you enjoy them.
My Notes
Some specific answers:
To a woman who was distressed because her son was joining the military: You’ve got to find a way to keep up your dreams about your son regardless of what he does. And recognize that what you’ve been feeling is the separation between you and you even though your focus is on what your son’s doing.
To a filmmaker who was filming in war-torn countries: Your documentaries are exposing others to experiences of things about which they had not known, and they in turn are launching rockets of desire for a solution to the problem. So your documentaries have been helping create a mass vibrational escrow.
But the inflammation of the problem is only valuable to a certain extent, and now you have to ask yourself what you can do as step 3 of the process, to allow the manifestation of these mass desires.
The questioner then described how he saw such incredible happiness on the faces of the people he filmed, and how wonderful that felt.
Abraham’s response: It’s not about the material things, It’s never about the material things. It’s always about your alignment with you. And even, or perhaps particularly, in the face of extreme contrast, the choice to become aligned is always there for us. And perhaps that is what you can now start filming.
About disturbing dreams: Tell yourself, isn’t it nice that I’m working out this struggle in my dreams? My dreams are giving me an indication of where my vibration is, vibrations that I wasn’t aware of, and they’re giving me the opportunity to turn downstream in my dreams. They give me a chance to clean it up vibrationally rather than in actuality.
About relationships: If you feel you have to do a process, don’t do it. Be a perfect vibrational match to your perfect partner first. Then tell yourself, THAT’S DONE and turn your focus to other things that you want.
About feeling like you’re “on the brink”: You can be on the brink of something that you know, or on the brink of something that you’re worried about. When it feels like it must be, then it must be. When it feels like, what am I doing wrong, it’s going to take a little while.
Some random notes:
When you don’t feel good, you’re not letting yourself be who you are
What’s your reason for being? It’s not expansion, that’s a given. You KNEW the joy of the ride.
Nothing is worth holding yourself apart from who you are.
Reach for your alignment with who you are.
Think and feel is the process.
Almost always in that attitude of trying, you are focused upstream.
You don’t have to figure it out right now, in this red hot minute.
Appreciation is alignment with yourself.
Be as specific [about your desires] as you can be and still feel good.
Worrying about where you are is counterproductive to your alignment.
Be satisfied with where you are and be eager for more.
Care about how you feel and then adjust your thoughts to what feels good.
When you are looking forward to something you are acknowledging that you are not there yet.
The feeling of your relief is your indication that you are on your path.
See the world through the eyes of Source.
Don’t try so hard.
Soften your thought
If the journey isn’t fun, it’s because you’re turned upstream and you are missing it, you’ve got your back to it.
Think and feel, think and feel, think and feel. Say to yourself, I don’t know what the thought of passion, security (insert your desire here) is, but I sure do know the feeling of it. So you think think think until you hit on the thought that gives you the feeling.
It has to feel like it’s done before it can come.
Always ask your Inner Being how you feel about you. Always think about what your Inner Being is thinking.
When you get into vibrational sync with your desire, the Universe will send you unending paths.
