Every now and then I meet up with someone new to the law of attraction who’s all excited about the possibilities - and terrified in case he or she takes a wrong step and “messes it all up”.
I know the feeling. Been there, done that.
And if you go online a lot, searching for answers, you’ll come across a lot of opinions and debates.
(And of course, this post, too, is just an opinion.)
I’ve seen major, severely gridlocked discussions about things like using the word “want”. Some people take a strong stance against the word, saying it’s better not to use it, that it reflects a feeling of lack, that it carries negative connotations akin to being too needy, or desperate. Other people say they use it all the time, and it works for them.
There are many discussions going on online (and offline), right at this very moment, about what is the right way to do this, and why this or that method is the wrong way.
My thoughts on this?
It doesn’t matter what anyone else says. What matters most is how YOU feel about it. Law of Attraction 101.
If the word “want” brings up a desperate, needy feeling in you, then don’t use it. If the word “want” makes you feel like you’re in a candy store, and can point to this delicious treat and that tasty snack, saying the whole time “Oh, yes, I want that!” and “Oh, that looks like fun. I want that too!”, then definitely, use the word “want”.
See how easy it is?
And that feeling of ease - that’s the key. Anytime you feel like you’re struggling as you go about seeking to utilize the power of the Law of Attraction in your life, it’s time to stop and take a good look at how you’re feeling.
It’s all about ease. It’s all about what resonates for you. It’s all about what feels good to you.
And yes. What feels easy to you may not feel easy to someone else. What resonates with you may turn someone else off totally and completely. What feels good to you may leave a sour taste in someone else’s mouth.
And here’s another interesting thing. What feels difficult to you today may feel quite easy tomorrow. What makes you take a nervous step back today may resonate with you tomorrow and make your heart sing. What feels uncomfortable to you today may feel absolutely fantastic next week.
So be flexible. Take it easy. And keep in touch with your feelings - they’ll always let you know whether you’re on the right track or not.
Most of all, have fun with it!
