In a recent Abraham-Hicks workshop CD, there was a segment entitled “It’s “gratitude” or “appreciation”?” in which Abraham said:
Gratitude is a wonderful emotion. Appreciation is ten times better. Gratitude almost always points you toward the thing you’ve overcome. Appreciation aligns you with the Source within you. They are very different vibrations.

I found this very interesting, from a personal perspective. Almost ten years ago, during a difficult and challenging period in my life, I kept a “Gratitude Journal” for about a year.
This Gratitude Journal kept me sane, I think. But most of all, keeping this journal gently guided me to the path on which I eventually found myself, the one I’m journeying on right now.
Somewhere along the way, though, I began veering towards expressions of appreciation rather than gratitude.
For me, being in a state of appreciation is a very empowering feeling.
Try it for yourself. Say the following, and feel the difference within you:
“I am so very grateful for __________________.”
“I have so much appreciation for ______________.”
Often, there is so much in the nuances of life. For me, the difference between gratitude and appreciation is one such nuance.

I love this entry. I have recently found my way through Abraham’s teachings. Thanks to the Secret, I asked for it. I wanted to know more and learn more. And I got my answers.
I am so happy to be able to see your journal and find people who also believes in the power of themselves and that starting to be joyful now makes everything better.
